Can we eat them, turn them into perfume, tincture, medicine? Waste sorting, you know. You do it at home every day and the Gallo-Romans had their own waste management. The exhibition invites you to compare our habits with ancient gestures. An interesting parallel to discover!
From 19 March to 29 November 2024, the exhibition «From the Roman Garden to Waste Management» will take you back to Gallo-Roman antiquity.
Reopening of the Maison des Géants.
In a few words: 2024 go to an intuitive and modern version of the museum! The concept: of every giant of the Ducasse d’Ath procession, Athon’s know-how, artistic collections and local history are revealed to all age groups, without limiting accessibility. A total of seven busts of giants can be seen. They are at home and invite the curious to visit them.
The Museum of the Stone of Maffle (Ath) offers many activities throughout the year: tale and nature walk, discovered the size of the stone or guided tour… Enough to take care of and discover the wonderful site of Carrières de Maffle.
